Ilmors ? any good, how many hours expected?
 
i am looking at boat with Ilmors anyone have any experince with them. How many hrs are expected before rebuild? And are they reliable.

I have talked to the guys at Ilmor a couple of times about the 625 and they were talking 400hrs if you take good care of them. I think they are a nice package, that being said I thing the key drawback is resale. Not only value but selling the boat with Ilmors appeals to a smaller group than if you had Merc power.

yep, think that is the only issue from what i see and hear.

their website has a lot of info on it, links to all the articles written and stuff. they put a lot of research into making the engines. plus they have finally developed a service network. that a big positive. hope they make it and stay in biz, would be nice to see em be able to broaden out.
