The difference between the twin outboard and I/O.
With the Merc 250s the power at 260hp or so, is about the same as the 525. The combined weight with the bracket of the twins is about the same as the 525. The balance is shifted back a little on the twin.
Twin ran 90.1mph
525 first time out match that number ( bigger prop required )
The I/O should be faster because it does not have the drag of the extra gearcase in the water.
How it runs, the twin stands up a little coming on plane, the I/O does not. The twin will out accelerate the I/O all through the mid.
The I/O carves a turn like you won't believe.
With the sound and the look the I/O steals the show.

It is 28'4"....... no beak or swim grid.
and so far 90 mph with a 5 hour old 525, with a guess at X dimension and no real prop testing ( started with a 28 bravo, then a 30 with 1.33 gears ), 95 should be possible with this combination......... that has to be record territory!

Just an idea... What if you were to relocate the monster gauges, and cut a notch in the lower dash area. Would that make access to the bow easier. Get a 3" thick pad made for the floor of the bow......instant Stabin Cabin......
One other thought...496 HO, five year warranty 75 - 80 MPH $95,900 US and watch them fly out the door.

The seat height is custom set to the customer. I want you as low as I can get you in the boat. With the curve of the bow visablity is great.
It is a sit-down machine only
