What went wrong with Jays boat? (Wicked)

Somebody in the pits after the race said that they may have hit one of the turn markers. There looked to be a couple of holes in the stbd sponson in some other pictures that I saw on another camera. From the infield it looked like they hooked the boat and had a near collision with anyother boat before heading to the beach. We were quite a way from them when this happend though. Anybody know for sure?

theres a pik on another thread that shows them running hard with what appears to be some major issues with a strake, running about half the length of the boat...but thats just from looking at the pik... photo orig posted by L BO

They did not hit anything,the boat started to delaminate on the right sponson.:(
