I saw it with the engines in place, and transom assemblies in early '05, with the final rigging taking place. Granted, I did not see it fully rigged, but it was damn close. I can't believe it would take a year to finish rigging.

It is in fact a beautiful boat, very well made. There's no denying that.
It had brand new 950 Cheif engines in it when I saw it. Is that still the power?

That boat is awesome and anybody that doesn't like it - well somethings wrong with them.

Actually that was a problem. The company jerked the owner around and he didn't see the boat until the summer of 2006

The boat is great!!!! and has great lineage
The hull is everything you would expect from its history

The business ethics of the company is a whole different thing thus the reason this is a one of a kind

Sometimes you have the ability to build a boat, but are clueless on how to build a boat company. This was the case at Chief

The idea was great, the product was sound, the execution not bad, The ability of the owners to do what they committed to do was truly the problem

When this boat does sell it will be a great ride for someone

It is a shame that it sits un used so much of the time

The good news it is inside on a rack high and dry

I'd like to thank all of you for your feedback, it has been very helpful. The fact that I'm in Europe working most of the time makes it impractical to keep the boat. At least I was home last weekend and was able to take the boat out for a quick run. Too bad there wasn't a wave to be had anywhere!

Mitcher T did a fantastic job on the paint for that boat and I love the hatch design that Marc and I came up with.

It has been a great boat and loves the rough water. Its just a shame that it doesn't get out of the building very much.

If anyone has serious interest in the boat, Marc will be able to help you as I'm usually 6-8 hours ahead of the US.

Mike, It is a beautiful boat. I wish I was in the position to give a reasonable offer.

Not sure if your schedule allows, but maybe do a couple high press poker runs so that the guys out there with the Jack to buy it can see it in person. You could possibly have your broker do a couple runs as well. You have to get the boat in front of someone that has the funds to pull the trigger once they see what a work of art it is.

Was planning on doing Smoke on the Water, but that was cancelled, so I'm thinking about doing Boyne or Chicago. Not sure if there's room in either run though.
