yeah I am looking for a boat but around that price, I posted in the pantera owner forum, I would love to have a pantera, but if there is a good deal on something else I'll look into it.

i'll keep my eyes open for you.
you looking for a 3man set up? single engine or twins? |
Hello B251,
The last I heard about the Mirage it needed trannys. not sure what else, as its been for sale for a long time and I think the owner is a boat broker. Not sure about the engines? Thank you Jim |
I called on that boat and said 10-11 grand. It needed a MercII trans and some stuff, but for what you get it was a pretty good deal. The motors turn high rpms but had good parts.SBC are cheap to make fast and the mirage hull is a great 28"-29' style boat . a 3 man bloster was in it. and it looked good. A little of someones time and you could get an 80mph rough water boat out of it. Much better than a getting a giant loan and having to pay it off on a newer boat, and you could beat the crap out of it with the small block trs set up. I to go decided bigger.

If it was built with center steering it was probably born to be a race boat....Thats good because it would be built a bit better.
|
Its a ex-raceboat with alot of race time on her.

I like it, except for the compression ratio, 11 3/4:1 pistons, but if you want 530 hp from a SBC, that the way to get it. High octane fuel territory.
