Yeah I guess so too. The guys over on thehulltruth or Florida fishing forum do not consider the 35 Marlago a real fishing boat. They are more into Contender, SeaVee, Yellowfin, Fountain, Regulator, Jupiter, Panga, Sailfish, Scout, Grady White, Whaler, Everglades, Hydra-Sports, Pursuit and others like these. Fighting Lady Yellow, or Canyon Runner Blue is about it for graphics and it's all about the ride, how much the boat rocks at anchor, live well size and fish storage lockers. They do not even consider Concept due to not having a self bailing boat, narrow beam. They call Concept a go fast boat...which is cool too. Although I fished and caught plenty of Grouper and Shark on my 36 self bailing turned out to be a must for me for outside storage and fishing.

see ya, Mike

what about the donzi 35 zf? I may be looking at one with my dad, but he thinks the 30 zf being a much smaller boat will have it's advantages. We will mostly be just crusing the bay and we trailer from about 5-10 miles. resturant hoppins some poker runs, and a little fishing, maybe a tournament if we get a group of buddies together and go out fishing 3-4 times a year.

I would like to tow the boat cross country from texas to washington state and hit the big lake between here and there.

Mike, why is the self bailing so important?
I understand why it's good to have.
But 90%+ of the boats owned by guys on this site are not self bailing.

most of the time these boats are on lifts, no covers, so when it rains it is easier to have the water drain by itself without going to the bilge to use the pump. These hulls being so open tend to take on more water in a rougher sea. Also easier to hose out all the fish blood and jiz right out the back.

Self bailing- I didn't get it on my boat but to do it would cost roughly $500- not a biggie...

You just need to get a real CC, next time:D

So its an option. $500 not a biggie is right.
So i'm guessing the deck(cockpit sole) is above waterline.

Which boats is this not an option on or not available on that we know of?

You just missed a great deal from Adrenaline, right up your alley. They build an awesome 31ss that runs in the high 60s with twin 250s and a 38 that runs mid 70s with triple 250s. www.adrenalinepowerboats.com I think fastboats.com just sold the 31. See the classifieds.
