Spider crack repair???

Anyone here ever get some taken care of and how did they go about it to keep them from coming back??? I have a few from the boat twisting. After i glassed the deck and hull together i have not had another pop up or any new ones form/spread.....now they bother me and i'd like to get rid of them. Just looks bad to me and even though you cant see them from more then 2-3 feet away i know they are there and I DONT LIKE IT!!!
So help a brother out here! :D

Wally
The best way to do it is to grind out each crack with a die grinder & fill with small strips of glass, fair it out & re paint.
It's alot of work for the little cracks but it's the only way to do it.
I learned the hard way that if you do it half ass, they will defenately come back.
A good marine fiberglass repairman should know the proper way to do it but make sure. Sanding/filling/painting doesn't work!

Hey wally,
I have the same deal on my cat from it's race days, lots around the winshield, where it intersects with the deck. I have tasken care of some of them, but not all, and like DJD said grind em out an inch wide, glass it up, bodywork, and paint, a big pain for sure, that's why I didn't do all of them, they have looked the same for 5+ years, they dont bug me bad enough to go thru and do the rest of them.

Thanks guys...thats what i figured it would take! :( i just didnt want to come to terms with it i guess! :)
Guess i'll take it to a few places and see what they would charge to fix it up. I dont even want to play with fiberglass when it comes to cosmetics that everyone will be looking at! I'm not good enough for that stage yet! :D

I did the grinding and re-glasing myself, and left the bodywork and paint to the pro's, saved me alot of $$ that way.
