It could also be a fully compliant gen set, if it is, great... the only thing that must happen is every owner buys the proper replacement parts.

Wait, according to Sparky, EVERY diesel genset doesn't comply to the USCG regs. Just read his posts in this thread. EVERY diesel, remember? I even commented about blanket statements that include words such as EVERY because that makes the argument pointless.

Thanks for making my point. ;)

Wow, Jasser. What a hornet's nest you've stirred up! Just install a couple of fans in the cabin...UL Rated of course! That, or just invite my wife down there to stay in the cabin with you on those hot, humid nights. She'll cool off any room! :party-smiley-004:

I thought he did a decent job of explaining the EVERY part in this post.

In regards to this thread adopting a blanket statement is the only to avoid a life risking OOPS! There are ways to mix gas and diesel engines and avoid the hazards but they cost extra money. If it costs money someone is going to cut a corner here and there and before ya know it BOOM!. In this case a blanket statement is not wrong but it is the only way to guarantee the safety of everyone on this site! :evilb:

I'm still waiting on the link to information regarding a compliant gen set. I was called out for not providing detailed information and links, and now all the information has been posted. By all means someone post a gen set that is compliant now that we are all on the same page about the regulations.

I'd really like to know if any exist, and if so which ones they are just for educational purposes.
