Anyone Use Boat Pix??????

I saw a BoatPix helicopter flying around Greenport NY on July 8, 2007. The pilot followed us for about 10 minutes taking photo's on both sides of my boat. But when you go on there web site you have to give them a credit card and buy the pics before you even see them. Anyone have any bad dealings with them before?? And How do the pics come out.....???? Any help is definatly appreciated...

Thanks

Don

I gave them my Credit card number, received 4 pics 6weeks later. Wanted to charge me $420.00 per pic. I sent them back. They called me 2 days later offering to sell the for $250.00. I asked why they wanted to charge me $420.00 per pic before? Their response was they charged $10.00 a foot. My response was how much would it cost to get a 16x20 of a 16 ft bayliner vs. a 16x20 of my boat? Need to say the phone was quite. And they now have nice pics of my boat hanging in there office.

Boat pix is great. The small photos are a little pricey but the large one which generaly cost $250 is worth it. We all have to remember it cost a lot of time and money for these guys to fly around in a helicopter and photograph boats. The expense of providing this service drives the price they charge for the photos. Go rent a helicopter for the day and ask your buddy to run your powerboat WOT off a 3ft swell so you can take a picture with your crappy camera just to have an aerial photo of your boat and add up the coin! $250 is beer$$ compared to the quality of photos they provide. Lets not be cheap and respect what these guys do for a living.

EXPENSIVE, but some of the best photos I have of the boat.

Simple how they do business and it worked for me.

Thanks Guys for the input.. I know it is expensive just scary to not be able to see the pics and they just send them then tell you to send them back if you don't want them. Seems silly to me....

Same here about a week or so ago. They were running right next to us at 90 for a good strech coming towards Shelter Island. I would think they have some good pics of us. Your boat looked good going into Pepe's a couple weeks ago Titan!
