Question boat alarms

Anyone know of an alarm that can be placed on a boat that would signal me remotely (say 3-500ft) if someone attempted to mess with my boat? Maybe an infra-red type sensor?

Ive thought about that too. It would have to be a motion sensor type deal I would think.

After having my stereo stolen couple weeks ago, I have been looking at this type.

Mount it up close to the under side of the dash so that it would be approx knee height. Would not be able to see it or expect to see it when looking in from the top of the boat.
They have one that is invisible infared so no light can be seen at night.
There is a port so that you can connect horn or speaker to device that will sound when triggerd.
This device will work wireless with from your boat to your house, hotel room up to 3000ft.

I have a system that incorporate,s a replacement of your snap in the Cover or door and if someone tries to unsnap your cover it will wait 10 seconds and then your horn goes off, looks just like a snap and you can't tell the difference, about 495.00 and you can install.

they sell remote cameras here to put on the dock, they are activated by movement under the boat cover. You can set it up to call you with a message telling you to check the camera.. log online and view whats happening that way you can call the cops if need be.

I want something to alert me if my kayaking neighbors try to approach my boat at night while at the dock at my house. I believe they would like to F with the boat.

srl5220, do you have a name or link?

how safe is a boat if left over night lets say at the boat slips in front of kokomos in havasu? I reserved a boat slip along with my stay at london bridge resort for labor day weekend they say they have security but has anybody else left there boat there over night? A boat alarm sounds like a good investment where can I find something about boat alarms on the internet?
