Mitch, I had to put down my Lab last yeay after 17 great years. The pain will subside, but I still shed a tear for him even now. It took our other dogs about 6 months to stop moping around after he was gone.

My condolences Mitch, I feel your pain. Enjoy KC as much as you can, and remember the good times with Tara.

Sorry for your loss. I have outlived 3 of my best friends now. I find it helps to remember what they have taught me about what is truly inportant in life...

bouyhunter, I did exactly that, it was a great night, the water was warm and I took the boat to a sand bar and washed it, then I watched the sun set. It sure would be neat to have all your animals back when you die, I bet some people would have a bunch of dogs, I have only lost 2 in my life because I had to wait until I was on my own but I will never spend one second of the rest of my life without a dog. That boat ride was great and the sunset was perfect. To top it off there was no one at the ramp and I could back up from my spot right to the boat. I have found I am more patient today and not in such a big hurry. I kind of like this, maybe I should slow down more often...naaaa. You guys are great though, it is nice to have someone to lean on, little lone 100s. And Chuck, you need to get your butt back up here, next winter there are no excuses, just say when and I will meet you on the highway and drive you there, trailer and all.

Sorry to hear about Tara Mitch. She was a cool dog. Give me a call when you want to head up to the cottage.

Sorry for your loss. I have a 5 year old yellow lab that is just another one of my kids. I can't imagine losing her. Keep your chin up and know that they go to a better place.
