Tell me what's the best....
I have been obsessively searching for a boat to replace my poor Outlaw (RIP) but I can't decide on what to get. I am leaning towards an older Cigarette but I also like the Fevers. To all of you guys that have been boating for the better part of your lives what is your top ten list of powerboats starting with the best first? I want something that can handle 4 to 5 foot seas but that is fast as well. Thanks guys.

If you're boating in big water top speed is not so important as wave crushing capabilites. If I lived near the ocean again I'd have another Cigarette. I'd rather crush 5 to 6 footers at 50 mph in a 65 mph Cig than at 40 mph in an 80 mph light weight whatever and get my azz pounded! (hey, what happened to the red banana's?).

I shop for boats that are 28-30ft deep V Hulls and made/designed for the rough and less than $50K:
28 Pantera
28 Saber
28 Active Thunder
28 Cigarette
32 or 29 Fountain
28 Apache (ought to be farther up, I just don't like the lines)

When it gets rough, my 88 mph Apache turns into a 100 mph boat and the 100 mph boats seem to turn into 70 mph boats....if ya know what I mean....
