Hey GFS, of you want a little sweep boat practice in Sept, sign up for Cambridge. Free slips and cheap hotel rooms :D Then you can tell John C you have "experience"

We have stayed in Truman the past several years. The place we find the easiest to store a trailer is at the Hurricane Hole. Very accomodating and the ramp is close by.

JasonSmith - Do it!!! We have been to Key West before on our boat and we loved it. We will travel a little over 1,400 miles.

Insptech - We have done Point Pleasant before, actually last year with all the fog. We would love to do Point Pleasant and Cambridge this year but the hubbys work schedule does not allow it. Plus our baby is till up at Smitty's race shop, we blew a motor on the CBPBA Central Poker Run!!

Cowisl - What is Huricane Hole and where is it???

BOBCATMATHEWS 08-10-2007 05:33 PM

hurricane hole is on stock island, about a third of a mile from key west proper,it is on the left right before you cross cow key channel bridge, about 4.2 miles from duval,no turn lane so you should turn on college road(right)at the tennesee williams theatre,go all the way around(about a mile)catch the stoplight turn left and you are there(us 1)it is also a decent bar

Thanks Bobcatmathews...So it is an actual marina? Where is the ramp Cowisl is talking about that is close by??

BOBCATMATHEWS 08-11-2007 03:24 PM

there is a boat ramp on stock island, just as you come in,but it is a little tight, you have to back in at a ninety degree angle, then cross us 1 (scary) and yes it is a marina, small but decent storage area, call them at 305-294-8025. garrison bight has a decent ramp,305-294-3093,truman annex has a sweet boat ramp, but they might be a little busy that week:D

GoFastSonic 08-12-2007 09:15 AM

Bobcatmathews: We are staying in truman annex, is there anywhere to park a boat and trailer?? I know key west can be kind of tight. If there is boat and trailer parking do you know who I could contact??

BOBCATMATHEWS 08-12-2007 05:12 PM
