Strip,

I didn't make it this year due to mechanicals but ran it in 05 and 06. The trip is only an hour over in nice weather. 05 was to Bimini which is a couple miles less and it was Cadillac smooth going over and a little rough coming back. 06 was a RODNEY KING BEATING going over but not bad on the way back. This year was calling for seas 2 ft or less both ways. It is a killer trip and is definitely one to consider in the future. I have done all of the FPC runs except Emerald Coast and by far the Bahamas is my favorite destiination.

Last years fun:

From the picks Ive seen it looks like some pretty water , I"ve never been farther south than Destin Fl, I figure I am due to broaden my horizons and get out of Missippi alittle .We were watching the weather alittle, saw some tropical storms farther out, figured they might of had some bad weather?I'm trying to get some feed back on how this trip/run is.Its pretty expensive compared to the others.

Not really, the run is $600, Bahamas entry is $150 (less than 35 ft/ $300 over 35 ft) and the hotels/food are about the same as any metro area vacation spot. Fuel is about $5-6 a gallon for the return trip. This run was cheaper for me in 05 than the Key West run that year.

I figured with 2 couples one boat 3000k per person.

No way, i think $2000 per couple would be still on the high side. KWPR was 3K for us in 05 and I think the Bahamas run was $1500. Both runs were only my wife and I. The KW run was $800-900 in fuel due to the 300 mile roundtrip, PR fee was $700 so those things made up 1/2 the cost of the run right there.

Sandy and I are also thinking of doing it next year. We've been to KW 4 times now, and love it, (favorite PR) but would like to try something different. You guys are welcome to ride with us, or we can convoy down to together. Jeff

Jeff lets plan on it!! I appreciate the offer. My buddy Kevin has a new 36Baja with 496's I figure that it would be more dependable than mine We figure just 2 couples per boat be easier.Eric & Wendy said they wanted to go but didnt want to take there Fountain. He might be a candidate?

I need to start working on getting a passport
