Hydraulic steering leak Imco

Has anyone ever had their Imco cap leak that takes the place of the original power steering cap. I have a 31 Sonic with 496ho's and the original reseviour is leaking from the replacement Imco cap. I know there is an O ring there. When you release the cap it acts like its under pressure, which seems normal. If I release the cap will I loose alot of hydraulic oil or is there a way to relieve the pressure. If so where do you bleed the air after making the repair?

Thanks in advance for any help

If you go to the Technical section and look under "General Q & A"...........or "Drives and Lower Units" and post your question there, then your chances of getting a response will be much higher. Hope this helps.
