Wireless Trim setup???
I want to put a remote trim switch on my boat because I tend to leave the drive down when parked, but hate having to get up in the boat, turn a battery on and running the drive up/down, then get back out, cover it.....yada yada.....etc.....
But I know they make on-wheel trim switches. Is this a wireless setup? Is it possible to install a wireless setup and use a keychained size remote to run the drive up/down? This would obviously have to be "jacked" straight into a battery so I can leave the cover on and such. Also, I am having trouble finding a plain old remote trim switch. I'm thinking a lift actuator switch should work though. |
The wireless trim on boats usually use contacts in the wheel hub.
You could buy a wireless remote lock kit with the keychain transmitters at most auto/electronics stores (under $100) and wire it up to your trim relays. But you're still going to have to turn the batteries on to power the trim pumps. Gary |
You could just run the relays for the key lock set up directly to your batteries.
