Thanks for everything people, This is my first boat that I have owned myself. I have grown up around boats ALL my life and I was hopeing that this was a good boat for my first. Thanks, John from Vermont.

Welcome to the board, you will learn lots of stuff here. I like what someone else said "performance" boat, to me that sounds better than offshore, since isn't any boat off the shore as soon as it leaves the dock:D

Yes, you can call it an offshore boat. Welcome! Looks like a very nice ride! Do note that you have a big block with an Alpha drive behind it. Merc only offered this combination for a couple of years I believe until the Bravo I was introduced. The torque of the big block can make short work of the Alpha drive so just be careful with it. If you end up keeping the boat for some time you might consider a Bravo conversion. Enjoy!
