40 Hustler Tripple Threat
 

Anyone have the scoop on that boat? A friend of a friend is looking at it hard.....Paper work looks a little fishy to me. The boat hasen't been registered in several years any info would be helpful. It was on Ebay never got to 60k seams like a 1996 40 with tripple 500's would bring good money yet .

While the performace boat market might be in a recession, triple-engine boats are in a depression. Triples have never been a great idea. The weight and drag disadvantages and increased fuel consumption don't come near to offsetting any performance increases you might see. The same boat with slightly more powerful twins will go faster and burn less fuel. If he buys it, he'll be in the same boat as the current seller if he ever wants out.

Can't help you with the rest of it- other than to say that if he has to own it, a complete survey by a knowledgeable HP surveyor is worth more than a truckload of second-hand info.

I told him the same thing get it surveyed and then think real hard about the tripples....

i have one in Greece Athens with triple cobras 650
if you think that i brake every weekend one or two drives all other is ok.....

A friend just listed his in the classified section. The boat is a big water assault weapon. People into speed boats dont often ask what it costs to run...if thats your first question then you need to look elsewhere...if you want a great handeling sportboat that kills big water, capable of 100 mph then check the classifieds. It is in Lighthouse Point, FLA. As for a boat that sat for three years....it needs serious attention.
