Try Whink in a brown bottle in the cleaning section of grocery stores or WalMart. Spray it on and then wash it off. It will clean the brown off the bottom of boats also. Don't get in your eyes!

Go to Lowe's. They carry the Zep brand of commercial cleaning products. Buy a quart spray bottle of their Tub & Tile cleaner. It's made for removing stains from fiberglass.
While you're there, spring an extra $8 for a replacement axe handle. Use this to whack Mr. WD40 in the nuts.

Iron-Out is another. Basically anything with phosphoric acid listed as its active ingredient will do the job.
I've taken a rag, a piece of plastic and some duct tape and made a "band-aid" and left it on overnight for tough stains.

Mary Kate ON/OFF will remove a rust stain almost instantly, and won't hurt Gel-Coat I use it all the time. It is basically Muriatic acid so don't get it on any Galvinized stuff. Eric
