40K more than what? Better ride than what?
We went from a 312 to a 382 and it was well worth the upgrade. The ride is MUCH better than we had before!!!

Define slower ride. I hit 90mph in the 382 we have listed with throttle left . How fast do you need to go?

My 382 did 98 GPS when I first bought it....rebuilt without blowers and still run in the 80's.
