I am looking for a engine hatch sleve that goes on a Scarab. I have a picture here of a cheap one that was on the boat, I need one that I can replace this one with...I heard they are out there but I can t find them...anyone know of anything like this?

It goes over the ram and enables you to lift the hatch if the battery fails.

If you don't mind making it yourself you could find the material at http://www.mcmaster.com/

old and cracked, notice the 2 clamps on it. I would love to have a new one but cant find it anywhere? I wish someone could make one out of something that will last longer.

The machine shop I use could make you an identical part in polished aluminum. I expect it would cost $75-125. You can call Jerry Nemire at 734 848 6366. You could e-mail him your picture for a price and then UPS your part. You could have it in a week or less.
