formula I picked up my f-250 4x4 v-10 crew in early november,the truck gets about 11.5 mpg. I will be towing my 38 scarab(12000lbs) this summer,i dont see any problems.

I've had both a '99 F250 CC SB 4x4 and a 2000 F350 CC DRW CC SB 4x4 with the V10. Both were great trucks and towed well. It is one of the smoothest engines around, but the gas mileage, especially with the Dually was not the greatest. That one never broke into double digits. (Both were 3.73) I saw about 22 MPG with the F250. The short bed looks great but will only get you a 29 gallon tank-there's good aftermarket ones that will replace it to 48 gals.
I now have an Excursion Limited with the PSD and love it! :D

I was considering the V-10 in my next F-550 Tow Truck, i'm tired of driving miles out of the way to find a station that sells Diesel!! :mad:

Well guess what, that sweet F-250 I had my eyes on was sold before I got out of work on
Saturday! Damn! :mad: :mad: Thanks for all the valuable info on the V10 though!! I didn't think it was that popular and with double digit fuel mileage to boot!!

Back to the drawing board!
