Default This could be a fun ride.

Check out this Powerplay. Could be fun with some power in it. Those drives are very efficient.

Whasn't the Zero Cavity boat re-rigged with those drives, then later changed back to the 3A's??

Yeah,
I haven't heard much about the Pulse drives, which is usually not a good sign. As far as surface drives go, BPM, Arnesons, or Trimax are the way to go, IMHO.

Zero Cavity Top Gun was rigged with Pulse Drives. They were very soon thereafter removed and back to traditional sterndrives.

That was one of the first 38 Powerplays, and hence was very heavy. They opted for an alternative drive package to install bigger than stock power. It had 750s in it at one time, IIRC.

Looks like I will be removing a pulse drive this winter. We have tried and tried to get the boat to handle well, but it just won't. I am not the least bit impressed with the drive. I absolutely love Powerplays but wouldn't touch that one.

Hey Young,

You wouldn't be taking the pulse drives off of an Envision by chance would you ??? If so I know the boat and its owner.
