I don't know anything about them but I saw a photo- one of the best looking boats I've ever seen.

Powerboat Magazine has done plenty of reviews on non-advertisers.

Concept, Midnight Express and Superboat to name a few.

I would do a little more research before whining.

It should be no secret that I will take a free magazine test, of course!! Yes I am whining for some of that...
But I still want to know about competitors, and marine hardware etc. like the drives that I mentioned before.

In my experiance, when I call a magazine and inquire about a product evaluation ( I have tried a few, not all of them) the first responce goes something like this,... " Yes, we would love to do a test on your stuff... and what kind of advertizing program did you want to set up with us this year..." or the other one flat out asks for $5,000 to cover costs.

Texacomapowerboater;
yes, there is some shameless self promotion here, but I will keep it to a minimum and refer you to the web site www.tuffmarine.com.

Your 28 is flipping gorgeous and I'm looking forward to seeing it in person sometime. 92 on gps with a single 525 is very respectable.

It looks to me like you have a great product. Keep talking to people,
get the word out.

Have you talked with the pubs about discounted rates, or any specials they may have?
Print is not dead, and advertising is necessary (unless you've the time and patience to let the buzz build by word of moouth). If full page full color print ads are too expensive, go for the quarter page color and drive them to your website for more pics and video.

Get your press info out with good quality high-res photos and push for a story.

But most importantly in the very near future..... get us more photos and video of that 525boat and walk us through the build process.

Let all of my boating magazine subscriptions expire a few yrs ago when I had to look at the name on the cover to see which magazine I was reading. They all were the same on the inside.

I know what you`re talking about. The magazines are all focused on west coast boats. If it were`nt for the internet, I would have never heard of some of the better boats out there.

I think I may have gotten half of my two year PRA subscription, most of which were totally mangled.

I already know what a new Fountain looks like/costs/speed/ cost per mph...ect....I dont need to pay for a magazine subscription to re learn it every month.
