DAMN ! That Royal Purple oil is expensive !
I just got my new JEGS magazine and happened to see the oil in it . $7.99 a quart ! That will be almost $230 every 20 hours for me just for oil ! I thought Mobile 1 was bad at $4.69 .

Hey thanks for the input guys ! I noticed they had regularsynthetic for $4.99 and "racing " for $7.99 . I asume the racing is better? Or just a gimic ? I have blown 598"ers . So I want something good . What should I use .I notice with my mobile 1 the oil pressure reads low and that scares me !But I see RP makes a 20/50 ,figured that would bring up pressure .

The Racing series of Royal Purple does not contain any paraphin waxes or detergents. It will withstand thermal breakdown better. The lack of detergents is typical in most true race formulations, the engine's typically are apart more often. If your desire is to obtain 40 WT viscosity, I'd recommend Racing 41, there is also a Racing 51 which is higher viscosity. This topic tends to start a stream of posts with varied opinion's. Do your research by contacting manufacturer's and choose a brand your comfortable with. I run Royal Purple in everything, Racing 41 in the engine, MaxATF in the transmission, 75-90 in the drive, 15-40 in the Powerstroke. Email me and I'll help you with pricing. Royal Purple has an established dealer network, but I can help you determine what you should be paying and where your closest dealer is located. I'd also recommend Red Line synthetic's as an alternative, they may be more readily available.

Martin Offshore also sells Royal Purple. Call Tres for a special OSO price! 954-587-1220... He can tell you why it is the best. I just got over 600 miles to the tank in my SUBURBAN with that stuff. It has saved his drives and engines at times!
