Nick, I am sure when you Go down with your Spear Gun your not planning on shooting lobster are you? If memory serves thats a big fat No-No.

come on shotting lobsters!!!! you gotta grab em!!!! or you can use a hook stick(a few palces allow that) to get them. Or you can use a snare but it easier to grab em tha use a snare.

Thats Okay Nick. Some people need a handycap. I took a friend of mine out free diving last year. He was a bad shot with good luck. It was like diving with Ray Charles. I would have to point fish out so he could shoot them. One day last season I pointed at a Halibut sitting next to a little pile of sea weed. Assoon as I pointed he took aim and fired. Missed the Halibut by at least three feet. The spear goes into the brush. As he pulls it out, there is a Lobster on the end. With a big smile he comes to the surface. I explaned that you cannot shoot Lobster and he was in deep sh%#t. He figured it was going to die anyway so he broght it to shore. In th middle of the day with lifeguards everywhere. He wrapped it in his sweatshirt and bolted up the trails for the car. I was cracking up. He looked like he was smuggleing an El Salvadorian Baby. I guess he went home to cook it and his cat took it off the table when he wasnt looking. That is why I had to laugh when you posted that you hunt for dinner with a spear. I know your a Law abidding citizen. :)
