Happy Anniversary BROWNIE !!!!

Well folks, it was just 40 years ago today, Columbus Day, that Mr Brown took a 28 foot Donzi with two engines running through one v drive on one shaft, and won the Miami to Nassau 185 mile race.

The Miami Nassau race was the Indy 500 and the Daytona 500 of offshore racng in it's day. To win that race put you in the top of the league of the wild men of offshore.

Long time ago, but still worth remembering....Great job Brownie...Congrats again.

It's great that not only does a legend of our chosen sport still breath, he participates on this forum and tells tales of the real days of offshore racing. Congrats Brownie and thanks.

Brownie:

Congratulations on living this long.

It is an honor to be in the presence of one so honored, that the mere mention of your name leads your legion of fans to use the word honor albeit honorably.

I, for one, feel honored by this honor....... your honor.

T2rex, O partially grey one, the year that I won that race, I recall that you were working with Linder on the single hull catamaran.......................
