No offense, bro... but here's an episode of CHUBY WASN'T THERE you may have missed.

Shortly after I met my buddy mentioned earlier in this thread, he asked me one day if I could get a roll of film developed. At the time I had a small ad agency and was tight with a lot of photographers there in Atlanta.

I took the roll to a friend with a lab and had him process the roll and make a contact sheet it... only 6 frames had been shot... there were two guys in the pix- my friend and another guy.

They were both seated in a fairly large room, wearing goofy black lone ranger style masks :D and holding AK-47's.

They were sitting on large bales of weed. The bales were stacked all the way to the ceiling and stretched from wall to wall in the room- the entire background of the photo was bales. :cool-smiley-027::cool-smiley-027::cool-smiley-027:

(there were boats involved somewhere so I guess this qualifies for this thread.)

I am not saying boat smuggling didn't go on. But the things of trap doors is more for tv and movies. Again I grew up there and know more than I am willing to type about. I never took pictures because would'nt that be evidence against you?

Yeah, I hear ya on the trap door- I would have fiberglassed over the opening myself...

This stuff I'm talking about all happened in late 70's, early 80's, so I would think the statute of limitations has run out.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong on that before I get into the story about the day they made 22k on a quaalude deal and blew every cent that night at jai-alai.:musik010:

I don't know if the same happened in S Fla but in the Rum running days in the NE, down on their luck local fishermen were propsitioned. They were offered a deal consisting of new high speed boats outfitted to make the runs at night. The deal was they made 10 runs from the ships off Cape may up to locations along the DE river at night delivering the goods and the boat was theirs.

bgchuby01 10-28-2007 06:46 PM

The odds are with you,if you wanna make some serious money fast, not for me of course, but they only catch 6%,hell two years ago a cuban gunship pulled up to mallory square, and two heavily armed cubans walked down duval street looking for someone to surrender to.
