Good news. I been thinking about Whippleing. Let us know how the 496 will stand up to the boost. How hard was it to install ? did the comp. was reprogrammed by Whipple? any detonation?
thx
P :ernaehrung004:

It took a little while but I am used to doing the sc thing. As far as the detonation none so far, the ecm & other items are done to "play with one & other" if you will.. Dustin did the reflash for me.. .. :) Jamie

Be careful with that 5-blade. You hook that sucker up and your drive might decide to take a permanent vacation. Keep us posted how many hours you get out of this setup.

The X dimension is just way too high on this boat to keep a 4 blade locked up and running efficiently. Otherwise I would have run a 4 blade. I am not too worried about the drive as we put more horsepower to these before. Alot of it is in how one drives. I personally will run the boat but I am easy on the sticks.

I have about 5-6 hours currently. I have done numerous blown applications on boat over the years & usually my clients average a few hundred hours with our sc upgrades, pending they are not abusive..

I am not sure how many hours I will really get to put on this boat.. I work way to much, play to little, & my wife has mentioned she would stilllike to eventually get another bigger boat. Now her obsession is to eventually grab a 35zr or preferrably a 38zr. It figures.. :violent-smiley-045:You can't please women. It would figure she mentioned putting the whipple on this boat which was cool for a wife to do, But NOW after I spent the time & money to do this one up she is looking at bigger boats again.. :( I actually like this one & would like to hang on to it for a while..
