Smile Key West Poker Run breaks the 200 mark!

Florida Powerboat Club's 15th Annual Key West Poker Run Festival presented by Mercury Racing has now reached a record 203 pre-registered poker run teams! Starting in Miami Nov 6, teams from all over the U.S. Canada and Europe will take multiple departures over four days, enjoying the 170-mile poker run course through the scenic Florida Keys.

Facts and figures: 123 of the 203 teams on the entry list represent four of the leading offshore powerboat manufacturers with Cigarette Racing Team setting its own all-time record, with 45 registed Cigarettes on the run! Nor-tech is a close second, with 35 registered teams, and sets a new milestone for "outrageous" with 3 turbine 50's that include the all-new Canada Thrust, Miss Aqua Doll and Warbird.

Fountain took third spot with 22 boats that range from the new quad outboard 38 Sportfish to 47 Lightnings and the SCI 48 Express Cruiser. Outerlimits currently has 20 teams on board, ranging from a 37 GTX to the 140 mph 51 GTX Offlimits, powered by triple Mercury Racing 1075's.

Five brands juggle for fifth spot at this time, with Skater at 9, Apache and MTI each at 8, and event sponsor DONZI at 7.

Florida Powerboat Club extends a warm welcome to all particpants and sponsors for helping to make this the largest single poker run event that FPC has ever staged in the club's fifteen year history!

Media coverage of this event will top all charts, with feature coverage by Powerboat, Extreme Boats Magazine, H2O Full Throttle, Hot Boat and over fifty pages of editorial in the upcoming issue of Powerboating in Paradise Magazine. Extensive televion coverage will begin on Sun Sports in December.

Please join us in maintaining our club's excellent safety record and let us not forget that we share the waterways with all others.

Thank you all, and see you in Miami!

Offshoreonly.com is very excited to be participating in this event once again. We have been waiting for the day that this event would break the 200 boat mark.

Not only are we excited to be joining the Florida Powerboat Club for this event, we will be debuting the New Offshoreonly Boat at this event.

Offshoreonly's 39 Cigarette Top Gun unlimited will be powereed by Mercury Racing's 700 Horsepower package with NXT drives. Sponsored by Pier 57, the OSO boat will be seen at numerous events around the country starting with Key West.

We are also very excited to be hosting a party with Hideaway Marina on Friday November 9, 2007 at Island Dogs located at 505 Front Street in Key West at 9pm.

We look forward to seeing all of our Florida Powerboat Club friends and Offshoreonly members at the party. In addition to the Magazine coverage of the event, OSO photographers will be posting play by play pictures of the event here on the website in our Photo gallery.

Stu and his staff do an excellent job hosting this event and we also look forward to a joint Miami Boat Show bash again this year in February.

Congratulations Stu and Jackie. Glad to have a small part in the event by bringing the Thursday Ft. Myers boats down the west coast and into Sunshine Key for lunch, then on to Key West. We are all pumped and ready to go.
