Default Help 1999 Donzi 26 ZX good fellas

Does any know the previous owner of a 1999 Donzi 26ZX with a New York reg I believe the boat name is good fellas it also says 550 ponies on the side. It was traded in to Passport marine in Norwalk CT for a Formula. I have a possible deal working on the boat and was looking for some info on the boat or possible to contact the owner. Is there any common probelms with this model anything to look for. I have heard about gelcoat cracks by the windshield anything else Thanks for anyhelp anyone can give.

Its a 1999 if she dont have cracks now she probally never will. The cracks were in the 2000-2003 models in the fairing below the plexi windscreen.

You might want to check this boat out thoroughly for MOLD.

Yes I have seen the boat needs much TLC and probley a new drive other than that motor runs good and hull seems to be in good shape except for a half a__ bottom paint job. Did you ever look @ the boat when you live there??

Ok, just making sure you have seen it. At least you know the drive is a disaster and the bottom paint is horrible. Did you see the rusted through trailer(near the front). I wouldn't pull that thing more than a few feet. My dad had a performance trailer and the exact same thing happened. They also left it uncovered all summer long with the engine hatch propped up by a piece of wood. In the summer of '06, my dad's mechanic was working on it...not sure what he did/what was wrong. I would guess that this thing does not have 550 HP. As you know, it needs some TLC, but I know you can get it cheap so it may be worth it.

mattd7 - go with this one. I doubt it will need as much work as the one at Passport Marine.
