Reminds me of when I ran my boat up to NY Harbor for 4th of July fireworks and got along side the Queen Elizebeth cruise ship. I wish someone got a picture of that... I managed to spot my sister and her friends on the upper deck. What was the chances of that ?

That weekend will be an experience I will never forget.

I left out of Manasquan Inlet, came around Sandy Hook and went in to refuel. Then shot over to NY Harbor. I rafted up with 4 other boats from Long Island and stayed over night. The ride back got a bit bumpy for sure with the wind turning out of the south east. I had no fear back then...

I was in this Bullet 130 that I had just built a year earlier.

Here is our little boat... 16' Donzi 1966 with original gel. My dad was the original owner and lots of family good times over the last 45 years. Engine is a 289 hipo blueprinted/balanced by Dave Zeuschel back in the day. Outdrive is the original Eaton, but internals were replaced with stronger shafts etc. Scotty Pierce from Cabo marine is helping with his expertise on racing, engines and restoring and it looks even better than the pic now. We ran it this last summer and had a blast...working on things and can't wait for next year.
