you would need to find an independant gamer who is not licensed to the big gaming companies as all of their work is the companies and they won't let them work on what might or might not be profitable
, My son and my money are going to college in arizona for game programming and development I have spoken to him about this on a few ocassions he'll be home for Christmas I'll find out more he has access to everything needed, programmer's ,artists, game company reps
our Deal was I pay for college he gets an education I get a video game

I'd be into a Xbox game but would it have to run on 220? And won't it make my power bull go through the roof and cause my tv to break down every time I use it? To be true to life it probably will.

if you want a baseline on how advanced a game could be, even on something as "aging" as a PS2 look at Need For Speed Prostreet by EA Games.
You change everything from the cam timing to tire pressure to gear ratios to boost pressures.
and the AI is no slouch either. EA makes a very advanced game, and without a doubt, pairing it with a new system like a PS3 or even a PC, it would be the setup.
just my .02
not to mention endorsements, like on that NFS game, Energizer, Progressive Insurance, the car maunfacturers, the list goes on.
no doubt in my mind they could do a game like that for this sport and others like it (offshore and tunnels)

Here's a freebie to tide you over, not exactly 360 worthy.

I would think the games exist out there. I know I've seen them in the adult arcades...you know the ones that serve drinks to adults trying to be kids again!

I'm totally in on the idea of having a game made. The only game console we own is a Playstation 1 but if I knew there was a game of this type I would buy a new console...

Yes!
The old Playstation 1 game Powerboat Racing was a bit to far fetched to get excited over. Who races a boat through lava filled tunnels anyway? A game similar to the Gran Turismo or Project Gotham series with boats would be killer.

I think there would be a market for a fresh game like this. I play street racing, quad racing, dirt bikes, Jet Ski, skateboarding, etc type games, but Im not necessarilly into all those sports in real life.
