I would say that there are more skater pleasure boats than race boats, Again their design is what others have tryed to emulate.

And "IF" the Nortech was successful racing would the company not build more??

There probably are more 36 Skaters built for pleasure, I am sure that is a much better market than just racing but does not change the fact that they designed the boat for RACING. I guess every V maufacturer is trying to emulate Fountain also. :food-smiley-007:

No, that would be Cigarette. Fountain has just reifined it for the race course.

I think you are trying to say the Skater and MTI are Carbon fiber, kevlar, vacuum bagged epoxy boats and the Nortech is Polyester or vinylester boat with conventional glass. Two completely different constructed boats.

That's about to change...Nortech has also changed their laminate schedules utilizing more carbon fiber in certain areas as well as adopting the resin infused vacuum bag system. My 43V was the first, and compared to the previous 43 models I've owned, it is a definate major improvement in structural rigidity, but not so stiff to be over bearing. Im extremely pleased I went this way. Jeff

It would have been nice to have a poll on this post.

Skater is my choice! But I would take both.

That 36' Nortech sure is a big 36'!!!

I'd take the Nor!

Skater+Arneson. MTI wouldn't exist without skater.
