A VW Corrado VR6?
They're not exactly common over here (UK), so I'll bet they're rare as hen's teeth over there!
Great pics too.

Yeah it's a Corrado VR6, so far it's lowered, intake, and exhaust. It's a fun car to drive on a back road...or against mustangs on the straights...

Tryin' to get the shot.

Congrats... can't go wrong with Nikon. Nice shots... I kinda miss the fall colors living down here in south florida.
Get a polarizing filter if you don't already have one- takes out reflections on glass and water- very handy for boat shots.
And... get the most out of your pix with some editing software- download.com has several free titles, or ebay is a good place to get older versions of photoshop.
Good luck with your new tool!

Congrat's on the new camera! And nice job with the car photos! I have a D-50 which is almost the same camera and I love it as well. I got it primarily for equine pictures since a point and shoot has too much shutter lag. I love mine and I'm sure you will love yours as well. Lot's of luck with your new hobbie.
Here are few of my photos I took last month at high level 3 Day Event here in Fair Hill.
