Default Boat Surveyor in N. Ohio?

Can anyone recommend a good Boat Surveyor in North Ohio? How much should I expect to pay for a thorough Survey of a Powerquest 260LX? Thanks

Yes! P.M. Skramer and ask him who surveyed Dave's old boat. I heard it was a 6 hour survey that included everything and then some of what a survey should be.

Let me get some names/phone numbers for you. There are 2 located in this area that are very thorough. I need to send out two e-mails and I'll get back to you.

Walt Pilney surveyed our Stinger when we sold it in July. I'll get a number for you.

The other guys name is Greg but I don't remember his last name. I'll see what I can find.

Dennis Beil, very very through and certified by several affiliates (or what ever ya call'em ). I was happy with the survey he did on my ScarabIII, cost around $500.00 if i remember correctly. His # is 586-463-5526 and he is a full time marine surveyor

Agree Dave! Dennis surveyed our Apache.....very thorough and we got a nice survey booklet afterwards of his findings. I think we paid $600 or $800, can't remember. However, he did have to drive up to Grand Haven.

I wasn't sure when he asked for N. Ohio if it was Toledo or Cleveland. I know Walt and Greg are closer to Cleveland. I believe Dennis is near Detroit?

yes thats correct he is in the Detroit area but i believe he will travel. Dennis gave me a bit of a price break on my survey because of a referral from from Tizbad. I have coined the term "the Boat Whisperer" when talking about Dennis . He is really into his work and, as he says, "gets to know your boat, lets it speak to him"

Thanks for the input! The boat is sitting in Amherst Ohio. Obviously if the surveyor is closer it should save me some dollars. Don't mind spending extra bucks for travel if a surveyor is highly recommended!
