timbillyosu,

Look at how Mahle cools their psitons, it very cool and eliminates the buttons we used on high horse Cummins.

Just a thought?

Both Caterpillar & Komatsu have high speed diesels with one piece steel pistons:drink:

Don't forget Komatsu's piston cooling system. The oil jet hits a port on the underside of the piston and the oil is run through a cooling circuit in the head of the piston:drink:

Firefox,

That's the Mahle piston, that system was engineered many moons ago but still can't be beaten! Very expensive psiton though?

Expensive but worth it. The steel versions that Komatsu uses usually out last 3 or 4 sets of liners:drink:

Hey all, sorry it has been a little while since I've posted. I've got a new clip of our engine. Check it out:

Cylinder Tear Down and Rebuild

In this video, we take a running engine, shut it down and tear down a single cylinder to the bare crankshaft, rebuild it, and start the engine back up. All in less than 8 minutes!

Don't believe me? Watch it :-)

Let me know if you have any questions.

Cool ! Good luck on what appears to be a trick package.

Hp numbers aren't quite where we want them yet. We're still doing a little tweaking and changing. We are shooting for 700 hp or so.

The engine with fluids, ready to run, weighs about 1500 lbs.
