The "scales" paint is just an idea. Thought we would get a temperature reading from our OSO brothers.

Do they add on the front of the sponson? It looks like it is added on in the first picture... Run it the way it is now, kind of like a rat rod that is so popular now, black is beautiful

The sponson tips can be changed or repaired if needed, thats why the are not part of the "hull".
