I just had to have a cross meber replaced because my drain hole on the bottom of thecross member was never drilled out. (Actually it was started but they never finished it.) Here are some pics of the damage and repairs.

Drain holes are in the cross members to drain the bunk supports into the cross member but unfortunatly the cross member drain lacked the hole...

in the end the new cross member turned out great. Big thanks to Gary Simpers automotive in Norteast md for the nice job

Yup, Steel. I don't think it was a rust problem but an ice problem. You shouldn't have that problem it Texas.
