Just like these boats, it's tragic seeing those cars rotting away like that.

Heres one that was available south of Detroit, brand new never rigged 198? 38 Cougar. I went up to look at it with a friend that was serious about purchasing it, wanted to do a clone of the old Systems boat. Called the owner back a few days after looking at it and i was informed that he was keeping it and rigging it for outboards (wtf?). Than the owner called me back a week or so later and wanted to know if i was still interested with the OB bracket work on it. He cut all the Arneson brackets off and welded on some contraption. I told him he ruined the boat and no thanks. Now i come to find out it has had some more work done to it and has some Iveco  diesels sitting in the bilge . . . . oh . . . . and they want 90K for it :rolleyes: . . . . to bad, it could have been a cool boat.

Hey Glass r u still thinking about picking up this boat, if not whats the guys #

its a pretty cool boat and like i said its brand new never rigged. there is some info on it some where in the classic offshore section. i believe it was being built for a kilo run boat, than the government decided they wanted to hang onto it for a while :D. most aggressive bottom they ever put on one of those things. OSO member Brownie could probably give the whole story on it.

Old cougar.....My uncle welded the braket on............I told wayne he was wasting his time.............(what a waste).....I would have bought it if he did not weld all that crap on the back....

A giant pontoon boat... I'll never understand why people do crazy crap like that.

Yes! I've seen them a few times now and I keep kicking myself for not thinking of it sooner and taking a couple pics when I go by.

They were both still sitting there as recently as three weeks ago.
