Default Aluminum Aircraft - style toggle switch covers

Does anyone have a source for the Aluminum Aircraft - style toggle switch covers? Summit, Jeg's, Steetflame, etc all have plastic covers. I really prefer anodized aluminum covers to the plastic.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Barry

You could post this question on Sunsation's site and ask where they get them for the F-4. They use anodized aluminum covers for the switches to start the motors.

From a NAPA auto parts store or on-line? And they were definitely aluminum?

I think the ones sold from McMaster Carr are aluminum, I know for sure they sell the toggle covers.

Thanks guys but those covers appear to be plastic as well; the one even says, "Cover is made of red phenonic." which is a red plastic.

There may still be someone making them out of aluminum, but the Mil-Spec changed on most of the toggle-switch guards quite a long time ago to ensure they were non-conductive, hence the phenolic or melamine material.
I haven't seen them in aluminum in an aircraft application since I was around old Lears, JetStars, and Sabreliners. They were all also used in the P-51's and SeaFury's I used to dabble with when I played around with warbirds.
If they're still available in aluminum from any company, they would be great for marine, but not legal for install in aircraft if they couldn't meet the mil-spec or parts TSO. I know Summit Racing and others sell the guards, but they're phenolic as well. I checked in my 'junk' drawer in my toolbox, and all of the used guards I have are phenolic or melamine. If I come across a supplier, I'll send you a PM.
