How about the clubhouse. Its one of the more premiere strip joints in Dallas and is owned by some of the members of PANTERA.

Its BYOB and you cannot bring your own ice or cooler if I remember right. Its been a while. They used to make you buy their ice and I think they charged like $10 for a bag.
Deep Elum in downtown Dallas if you like the clubs. Lower Greenville if you like the pubs. Although, anywhere in Dallas can be pretty dangerous especially in Deep Elum. If you want the more laid back, friendly atmosphere I would suggest downtown Fort Worth and the stockyards. The stockyards is a strip like something you see out of the movies in TX. Brick road and saloons for a mile or so. Most of the bars are very old and historic. Downtown Fort Worth has some culture, but not as much as the stockyards. Sometimes they have live bands play in sundance square in Downtown FW.
