Default BPM vs #6 drives

First question is what are your opinions of both, positives and negatives of both (drivability, docking, resale, etc.). Second is can one be swapped out for the other, more specifically, can a boat with BPM's be swapped out for #6's? Is it a large process?

Totally differnt transoms. First is a BPM. Second is a NXT which is similar to a #6

They can be changed, BUT, you have to replace the transom because require different transom angles. This is very expensive, MTI just did it on a BPM boat.
As far as tails, typically the BPM with throw a lower, longer roost and the six will be taller but not as long, you pic which you like best.
Not a big deal but that is a #6 is the pic above.

You might ask Randy Scism his thoughts, I know he once told me that in his years of racing ect. that they had never had one break! Mine is very easy to dock, long ( no wake) idles you have to play with the shifters some. Bpm are quite a bit of a upcharge on a MTI

This is why the Arneson is a smarter choice as the transom angle is the same standard boat transom as all the boats made have.
