This is a good post. My father has a "tri-toon" and it is much more stable and quicker. The rougher water doesn't seem to throw it around as badly as the twin sponsons. He has a 115 on the back of it and it pulls skiers no problem. Just my little knowledge for what it is worth.

South Bay, Bennington, or JC. Playcraft is OK but below these 3 in terms of quality. Still an OK boat, though. And yes, get a 3-logger. A friend has a new 925 (25') South Bay at LOTO on the 2 MM with a 225 Verado. Sweet ride and handles the main channel chop extremely well.
