Good that she is doing well.
Helluva job on the rescue!

I've been stressed just driving that bridge, couldn't imagine jumping.
It get's windy and it's white knuckles. I've seen guys riding motorcycles across while it's windy - they got bigger stones than me

I stopped at the top and took pix of the guys leaving the lunch stop on the Sarasota run last fall. It is a long freaking way down from up there! I wasn't parked 30 seconds when a road ranger pulled up right behind me- after he realized I wasn't a jumper, he just sat there and watched me taking pictures.

I remember when the original Skyway bridge was knocked down by the barge.

me too, I was cutting lawns around noon in New Port Richey (1980?) when it was whacked. I think 5-6 people died after cars falling off.

Downtown, if you come down to Tampa for a visit let me know.

The 1st Skyway bridge opened in 1954 and a 2nd span opened in 1971. The freighter hit the north span in 1980. The current Sunshine bridge opened in 1987.
