Were you out there today on your training missions off of Point ?
1 wave crasher and tow helos 1 mile offshore plucking guys out of the water...
I couldn't agree more.
Now where's the pics of the laminates ?
Dean, Unless something has changed in the industry, I have never seen a laminate schedule for an offshore boat 100% Carbon Fiber. There has to be other materials there to give the boat its strength. I will be attending the Miami Show if you know of any boats to be there that I should look at. Thanks!

Tim,
Here's a link to the Mystic M5000 specs from their website,
http://www.mysticpowerboats.com/boat...000/index.html
The Optional laminate layup is the 100% carbon fiber, with bulkheads being foam cored. There is no other laminate material used in the M5000. If you were speaking about the bulkhead materials, then yes, there is high-density foam core in the bulkheads.
Hope this explains it better.

Carbon provides light weight and stiffness to the laminate.
Kelvar and other materials such as coring whether it be aluminum honeycomb, balsa or foam cores provides the strength to the laminate.
