Mike,
It's for the whole boat, ready for rigging. The main weight savings come from not having a full interior liner. That alone would add around 1000 lbs. The fully foam cored ( H80 Divinycell) deck only weighed 250 lbs. ;)

Does it have a cockpit liner? Is it self bailing?

The main weight savings is from not having a liner. And yes, it is self bailing.

f311fr1,
The main reason we opted to not have a full liner was for strength. By eliminating the liner, we are able to completely thru bolt the hull to the deck 100 percent.
Where the deck and hull meet at the rub rail, we laminate this area together to create a continuous bond around the entire boat. When this laminate cures, these two parts now become one, creating a stronger boat.

The front hatch/trunk is finally fitted with the gas lifts. Next we're making a liner to go in the forward storage area. It's almost there. I can't wait till this baby is done.
This forward storage area is huge. There will also be another storage area under the deck, accessed through a 5.5' X 2' fiberglass hatch.
