Anybody here just wires money. It's pretty foolproof and usually only takes a day or so. I guess it's not a bad idea to change accounts, I never really thought about the fact that you have someone elses bank info. Beter safe than sorry these days, unfortunately.

I believe that most banks will setup an account to have the money wired into, and then transfer it over to yours once it arrives. ;)

That is absolutely correct it is wired to the bank routing # thru the fed government and then the bank transfers it to your individual account ....:cool-smiley-011:

I would not use a money order or other bank check. My bank told me it is actually very difficult for the recipient to tell when the check actually clears. They can only give you an estimated time, which i wouldn't trust.

Mine went to Austraila, only take a wire transfer in USD to your account.

Exactly. The only way I would do it and I'd still wait a day or two to release the boat.

Also, many banks will allow a bank-to-bank transfer to be
cancelled by the sending bank for up to 24 hrs.

Some banks may not allow you to remove the funds from that
account until the grace period ends.

So make sure the money is really yours before dropping the boat off.
