There you go. Use it as a nice economical displacement hull.:D:D

I like to cut my gas with fillers such as water to get more riding time. :D

Sounds like you need a Sailboat:evilb:

if your running a competetive blowboat program, you probably comming close to what a lot of people spend in gas.. sails arent cut up tableclothes...there a lot of kevlar, mylar etc, and they dont last long....

Have you bought any bottled water lately? Price of gas pales in comparison.

True............Very True.......

I get tired of hearing the dumb azz commnets at the dock from the on-lookers about feeding triple outboards, I can hardly wait to hear the comments this year when they see quads on the back!.:party-smiley-004:

As many have said already boating is a way to relieve the normal stresses of the work week! Without boating we would all be in therapy which I think you would find is pretty expensive also. You could do what I did and buy 2 boats, Think of it like buying an economical commuter car so you don’t have to drive the 9 MPG tow vehicle back and forth to work everyday. Now granted a single 502 in the 21' Jet boat isn’t the most economical choice but it burns less fuel then the twin 502's in the 30' scarab, either way I am still on the water! :D

If you read this whole thread, you won't learn much about how fuel prices are affecting "speed boating" (what many people outside the US call the "sport.") but you will learn that there are a lot of arrogant SOBs in the US.

The reality is that it has made a difference on values, habits, and choices. If you are one of the lucky few who have felt no change whatsoever, post up. Bust the guys chops for his broken english. Tell him to get a sailboat. Tease him for typing " instead of '. When we all know that he has a 24 foot boat, not a 24 inch.

Many of the responses to Fortius' question were rude.

What if, just what if.... he was asking about something that concerned him, and that he wasn't trolling?
