Thought I might jump in for my second post.

1. Fact: Police cannot extradite someone without a criminal complaint being filed in the state where thay are wanted. So the first step is a warrant being issued by a judge.
2. The perosn MUST waive extradition OR a governors warrant has to be signed but the state where thay are wanted, AND the state that has the person in custody. This entails alot of work, time, and expense.

DO NOT think for a NY second that anyone extradited might be subject to a weak prosecution. This is serious, and confirms my info and the reason why I started this off with my first post/inquiry. I wanted to have a feel with who I might have to deal with.

I have thought about that from time to time.
We have seen these threads that go and go, mostly people guessing or trying to reconcile new facts against past experiences.
Accidents, thefts, dishonesty.

While on face value, some of the posts and comments seem to add nothing to the story, they may in fact be an expression of someone who is simply trying to understand something that is hard to comprehend.

Often speculation is not so much mean spirit as much as people trying to make sense when suddenly we realize that all is not what it seems and things are not really in our control.

Perhaps a post that I view as adding nothing, was for another member part of a process of trying to understand.

You are right on. No way the feds spent money extraditing this guy without STRONG EVIDENCE!

Not speaking of this case but the thought of having to spend time in jail for any length of time doesn't interest me at all. The whole thing had to be fishy and I wouldn't have had any part of it. i know I must be getting soft in my old age but i like my freedom

The boat was reduced to tiny splinters & shards by a very large industrial chipper/grinder. Presumably the drivetrain was removed prior to.

Isn't that what they always do with repo'ed vehicles?
